Water shortage: rotations on the Talas canals
The flow of the Talas at the border gauge is about half of the mean for August. From 12 August the canals of the Talas valley work by rotation: each section receives water for four days in eight.
Minister Melis Nurmatov approved the rotation schedule with the water users' associations in Kara-Buura and Talas districts and met Kazakh water officials at the border gauge.
