Brucellosis: vaccinate the young stock, boil the milk
In summer the number of brucellosis cases rises in the districts. The State Veterinary Inspectorate reminds owners that ewes and doe kids are vaccinated free in the autumn round, and that abortions in cows, sheep and goats must be reported to the district veterinary station.
The Ministry of Health advises people to boil milk and to buy dairy products only where they have passed veterinary control.
