Bean harvest: extension officers advise on drying and storage
The harvest of common beans has started in the Talas valley. Beans are the valley's best-known export crop and go mainly to buyers in Turkey, who check moisture and broken grain strictly.
Extension officers of the Directorate hold field days in Kara-Oi, Ak-Terek and Kara-Bulak on drying on tarpaulins, not on asphalt, and storage in dry sacks.
